Hopefully, you are aware of David Hockney, one of the greatest living artists today. He is noted, among other things, for his contribution in the 60's and 70's, to the pop art culture developing in California, at that time. I am reading a great book, "A Bigger Message, Conversations with David Hockney". The book, simply put, describes Hockney's ( and every artist's) "lifelong meditations on the problems and paradoxes of representing a three-dimensional world on a flat surface".
